Lucy Hayes was 5 years older then President Hayes. After suffering several strokes she passed away. In the house that is on the grounds of the Hayes Presidential Center, was used until the 1960's by the Hayes family. When I took a tour of the house they don't show the kitchen do to it being to modern.
